Designer Lofts

Designer Lofts

The Diamant Hotel designer loft apartment concept presents a very new, very different alternative to short term accommodation. The hotel presents a suite of 3 unique overnight or short term living spaces that are furnished with a curated selection of highly desirable mid century modern pieces--by noted Australian designers like Grant Featherston, or international stars Verner Panton, Vico Magistretti and Achille Castiglioni.

Presented furniture and lighting is consistent with the quality and aspirational tone of the hotel, offering the discerning guest, archi tourist or design sensitive, the possibility to live in an environment more akin to a gallery, than a hotel room. The designer apartment spaces have a tangible emotion, established through mood lighting, colour, fabrics and finishes. Recognizable designer pieces are offset by surprising pairings with objects, artwork and furniture selected for their impact or emotional value.

Our designer apartments include the must-haves of console, lounge system, occasional table, lighting idea, dining suite; study chair and desk lamp; as well as signature bedroom chair, bedside tables and lamps.

The Mid-Century Moderne Loft (G07)

The tone of this space is truly indulgent, urging the occupant to relax in its warm intimate interior. The suite is all about natural finishes–wood features throughout, rosewood, teak, natural cork--offset by leather and rustic hessian fabrics applied to lamp shades. Downstairs a stunning formed rosewood ply and leather modular sofa make a luxurious statement. Lighting is courtesy of an oversized cork based lamp downstairs, and gorgeous Italian ceramic based lamps upstairs. Pure emotion.

The Featherston Loft (G09)

Australia’s foremost mid century modernist takes centre stage in this paean to Grant Featherston. The graphic, sculptural form of his scape dining suite is offset by the more voluptuous system 4 modular sofa. This apartment is all about contrasting silhouettes and finishes—balancing the impossibly graphic metal scape suite and 2 branch spun aluminium standard lamp against Featherston’s highly collectible tv chair. The apartment enables the privileged guest to experience the creative range of one of Australia’s most talented furniture designers.

The Panton Loft (G10)

In the Panton Loft, the mood is pure Panton expression--playful shapes and silhouettes provided by his iconic 1-2-3 seating system. Chrome accents and details to the console and dining suite add a ritzy bling to the living / dining areas. An original arco lamp sets the 60s tone of this exciting yet functional space. Upstairs the mood is space age pop with Kartell bedside cabinets and Magistretti eclisse lamps. Iconic pop at its best.
