| Al Stark is a Melbourne based artist whose practice is concerned with a diverse range of mediums including drawing, painting, installation, printmaking and three dimensional works. In 2009, Stark was commissioned to create an aerosol painting on glass, spanning across eight panels on the western side of NewActon Pavilion, called ‘Elaborate Trophies. This work was predominately designed to correspond, compliment and give warmth within its context at NewActon. Starks' work thematically revolves around social and political human interactions, and seeks to raise questions by offering poetic visual narratives that entice critique though beauty. |
